Tasting notes
Very intense purple colour. The nose is very complex, with subtle notes of liquorice, fine woods, spice, toast, black fruit and tobacco, though still a little closed; the aromas will open up as it develops in bottle. The palate is very structured, with abundant tannins and density, yet shows the delicacy and elegance typical of a great vintage. Oak ageing has added depth without masking the freshness and typical Tempranillo fruit, in a balanced whole that also includes good acidity. A long, harmonious wine that, although drinkable now, will gain structure and complexity with years in bottle.
